Baker and Partners were originally appointed as the building contractor but the client requested that the design should be escalated to another level in order to bring more harmony into the building that would complement the bush surrounds.

Natural dry stack stone-work, dark timber beams and exposed brickwork with sponged jointing contributed to making the brief a success. The client was also open to experimentation so polished concrete floors, recycled timber cabinetry and reused light fittings collaborated together to give this home a unique feel with bush-lodge ambience.
